Timezones

Align the browser timezone with its geolocation.

Updated View as Markdown

Websites can read the browser timezone. The timezone of the Node.js or Python process running your automation is not visible to the website.

When you use a Browsers proxy, Browsers automatically aligns the browser timezone with the proxy’s geolocation.

Without a proxy, or to force a specific timezone, choose an IANA timezone identifier and override the existing page through CDP before navigating:

const TIMEZONE = "America/Chicago";

const cdp = await context.newCDPSession(page);
await cdp.send("Emulation.setTimezoneOverride", {
  timezoneId: TIMEZONE,
});
TIMEZONE = "America/Chicago"

cdp = context.new_cdp_session(page)
cdp.send(
    "Emulation.setTimezoneOverride",
    {"timezoneId": TIMEZONE},
)
